This morning in the show lounge we celebrated Nieuw Amsterdam s World s Largest Cruise Event with the unveiling los angeles zip codes of the largest world map made out of cupcakes ever done on a cruise ship. More than 4,500 cupcakes were used to make the world map. No joke, I am actually filling out the application form for the Guinness los angeles zip codes World Records right now! Aside from the unveiling of the world's largest map made from cupcakes we also had a presentation on future cruises done by our Future Cruise Consultants Joanne and David Gardner, a photo presentation with beautiful images from around the world by me and a presentation on the people we meet by Future Cruise Consultant Joanne. The show lounge was packed with every single seat taken.
Over the past few weeks we have had several meetings to plan for the entire event and from the beginning it was apparent that we all wanted to make it something very special, out of this world. Many of us were involved in the planning, organization, los angeles zip codes preparation and execution of this event and via this way we would like to recognize them. For the world map cupcake we would like to start with the two people that actually had the idea to make the cake, our Entertainment Manager Blair, and our Culinary Operations Manager Darren. Our technical department under the direction of Rolf, our Staff CE and Florin, our FMM with our carpenters, Zaldy, Angelito los angeles zip codes and Bernard, who built the entire wooden structure for the display. Our culinary team under Executive Chef Markus with our Pastry Chef Arnel and Assistant Pastry Chefs Glenda and Dominador for baking all the cakes and working los angeles zip codes through the last night to put the entire map together.
Special thanks to our dining room team under Dining Room Manager Riza with I Wayan Sumantra, who carved the landmarks, los angeles zip codes I Made Agus Aricahyadi, Putu Bena Luwih, I Made Artana, Agung Jodhi and Juli Artawan, los angeles zip codes who all helped with the further detailing of the landmarks, los angeles zip codes painting them and decorating the show lounge. Our entertainment team with our Entertainment Manager David, Sound Tech Samantha, Light Tech Charles and the stage crew for coordinating the lights, sounds and bringing the display to such a dramatic climax. Also special thanks to Marc, our MOM, for coordinating the administrative part of the entire event from beginning till end, and to our Cruise Director Dave for being an excellent master of ceremony for the entire event this morning.
