There are some airlines that just cannot seem to stay on track. Kingfisher Airlines just so happens to be one of those airlines. In fact, new reports now show that the carrier will be short 34 planes. Apparently, this is because waikiki beach hotels the carrier has unfortunately defaulted on lease rentals. Now the lessors have no choice but to retrieve these planes. Due to this, Kingfisher only has about 15 planes to carry out its daily operations.
Sources close to the airline have told the media that lessors have taken back as many as 34 planes between March and June. They took back these planes because the airline simply owed the lessors money that they could not pay. If the airline cannot pay, then they cannot use the planes. It is as simple as that.
