Anyway, as we stopped in some of the highlight places in Kootenay e.g. Marble falls, Olive lake etc,

When I visited Calgary a few weeks ago, my friend took me on a road trip through Kootenay National Park. Kootenay National Park borders with Banff National Park, and since we were coming in from Calgary, we had to pass through Banff first. My friend rented a car for us, and to me it was a good choice, as I compared this experience with the experience I had when I was on a tour to Jasper National Park(Went there after the road trip. I am just surprised cheap rental car italy I was not yet fed up with national parks considering I went to at least 3 of them within less than a week). By renting a car we could stop wherever we want (provided there is a designated stopping/ rest area), and however long we want.
If you are not aware of it, during Canada day, the entrance to the national parks is free. However, since my friend tend to have visitors coming cheap rental car italy over (including yours truly), she had opted to buy a year pass, which she calculated tend to be cheaper compared to buying a single entrance fee (Hey, I would buy one also if I lived in Calgary. The national parks are great!!!).
Since it was free to enter the national parks that day, there was a huge influx of cars on the road (Okay, I am exaggerating. It is not a bumper-to-bumper thing but it is still more than the usual). cheap rental car italy However, most people were heading to Banff and Lake Louise, so it was not so bad if you were heading to Kootenay.
cheap rental car italy One thing I observed is there are no shops or fuel station as we went through the Kootenay National Park. Yes, there are rest stops where your could find an outhouse but . no PetroCanada, 7-11 kind of shop.
So if you are planning to take a road trip through Kootenay, make sure your car tank is fulled and you packed some food (Thank goodness my friend prepared our lunch the night before, otherwise I would have been starving).
Anyway, as we stopped in some of the highlight places in Kootenay cheap rental car italy e.g. Marble falls, Olive lake etc, I found myself wistfully thinking if I could go fishing there. I mean, this place is brimming of lakes and rivers. And the color of the water is surreal. It was bluish green. Nothing that I had ever seen before.
It was also a perfect place to take a geology/ geography field trip, as you could see some of the finest examples of nature in progress .  I keep telling my friend how I wish I could have gone to a place such as this for my field trip when I was in high school. cheap rental car italy I took photos after photos.
I was disappointed in one thing. cheap rental car italy The Radium Hot Spring found at the end corner of Kootenay. Maybe I had set my standard a bit to high. I had tried the Onsen (hot spring) in Japan, and also hot spring in Taiwan. Both were set to be part of the scenery, so it was very natural looking. So imagine my surprised that when I saw a large tiled swimming pool sitting at a bottom of a valley. I could not even see the hot water flowing out. And the smell of chlorine filled the air. My friend was laughing at me when she saw my face as she knew the kind of hot spring that I had been to.
