has such a rich historical legacy that on December 4th 1999 Unesco created a category called Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture in its World Heritage section. Ibiza, one of the Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain has multiple cultural and historical sites such as the acropolis of Dalt Vila , the Phoenician settlement of Sa Caleta and the Cemetery of Puig des Molins . Ibiza's Upper Town is part of a fortified acropolis which has saved its various cultural influences in its walls and urban setup from the various periods car rental in cyprus it has been influenced. The Cemetery of Puig des Molins is the best preserved necropolis of the Phoenician-Punic culture with over 3000 Punic tombs. Some of the most important finds at this site include decorated Ostrich eggs and and a bust of the goddess Tanit. During the Punic period, the city was a trading center that exported products from around the Mediterranean.
